Meet Meika!

She is a 7-year-old Shetland Sheepdog, and is in the care of the South Okanagan SPCA.

Meika is a sweet, shy girl with a tender heart. She is looking forward to finding her furever home!

Previously used for breeding, she’s still learning how to trust and enjoy the world around her.

Meika can be overwhelmed by sudden movements and loud noises. She would do best in a home that is calm, with humans who are patient and will allow her to move at her own pace.

Meika would greatly benefit from living with a confident, friendly dog who can show her the ropes and help build her confidence.

With time, love, and the right environment, Meika has so much potential to blossom into a loving companion.
