A Coleman brand camping lounger is being recalled due to laceration and amputation hazards.
The recall includes the Converta camping suspension stretchers with model number 2000020290. The product has tan or white fabric with the Coleman logo printed on the fabric and black steel frames with adjustable seatbacks and leg positions.
A total of 438 units were sold in Canada and over 228,000 were sold in the US between January 2021 and December 2023.

Health Canada says the company has received seven reports from people in the US who had their fingers pinched including two reports of fractured fingers. No injuries have been reported in Canada.
The backrest fold mechanism is what is causing the injuries.
Anyone who purchased the lounger is being told to immediately stop using the product and contact Coleman for a free repair kit.
Consumers can visit the Coleman Company online to verify whether their model is affected and to register for a free repair kit.
