JYSK won’t be out of the Kelowna market for too long.
The Danish home decor and accessories retail chain appears to have a new home after being forced from its old location last year.
It will soon open up shop in Orchard Plaza in the space that was recently vacated by Rooms+Spaces.
We don’t have a timeline for you at the moment, but there is a large banner and multiple storefront window signs that say JYSK will be coming soon.

JYSK was forced from its long-standing home in Dilworth Shopping Centre last summer along with several other businesses.
They all had to vacate to make room for a large residential and commercial development that will add hundreds of housing units to the area.
The deadline for those businesses to close their Dilworth Shopping Centre locations was July 31 and it was in August that Rooms+Spaces had its grand opening in Orchard Plaza.
Just six months after opening to much fanfare, however, Rooms+Spaces was evicted due to unpaid rent.
After watching Bed, Bath & Beyond shutter in that location in the spring of 2023 and Rooms+Spaces do the same this past winter, JYSK will certainly be hoping for more success in Orchard Plaza.
