Kelowna woman, 42, assaulted downtown while on break at work

Police are investigating an alleged attack on a woman in downtown Kelowna earlier this week.

The Kelowna RCMP says the 42-year-old woman was on a break at work when she was assaulted by an unknown suspect shortly after 1 pm on Monday, June 16.

The incident happened in the alleyway bordered east-west by St. Paul Street and Ellis Street and north-south by Doyle Avenue and Bernard Avenue.

Police are now turning to the public in hopes of advancing the investigation, specifically seeking witness accounts or video footage from the area early Monday afternoon.

“We are urging anyone who may have seen this incident or captured any relevant video footage, whether from dash cams, security cameras or personal devices, to come forward,” urged Cpl. Allison Konsmo.

Anyone who has information regarding the investigation can contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and quote file number 2025-33922.

You can also submit tips anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
