More snow’s expected along BC Interior highways this week.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement this morning to warn that between two and four centimetres of the white stuff is expected tonight and tomorrow morning.

The highways affected are:
Coquihalla – Hope to Merritt, Merritt to Kamloops
Okanagan Connector – Merritt to Kelowna
Hwy 3 – Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass, Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass
The weather statement explains that more than 4 cm of snow could be possible in certain areas.
“An upper trough of low pressure will bring a cooler airmass to the southern BC Interior in the next couple of days,” the department meteorologists wrote in a public notice.
“Snow levels will drop below the passes for most high elevation travellers routes Tuesday night and snowfall can be expected through Wednesday morning. Snow level is forecast to rise above the mountain passes Wednesday afternoon.”
Environment Canada said transport routes “may be impacted” and warned motorists to be prepared for rapidly changing weather.
