Several brands of caffeinated energy drinks are being recalled across Canada due to caffeine levels and labelling issues.
Health Canada issued the national recall on Dec. 22, which advises that no one should consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute the recalled products.
Forty five drinks are included in the recall, including brands like Bang, Celsius, Monster and Prime.
A full list of the affected products can be found here.

The recall is part of an ongoing investigation led by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), which included recalls being issued in August, September and October.
“The majority of the recalled products were neither manufactured nor intended for sale in Canada, and have been imported by third parties and sold in stores across Canada,” the recall says.
“Consumers may have also purchased the products online.”
The recalled products are similar to products that meet Canadian standards and are not affected by the recall warnings.
A good way to tell if your energy drink is safe to consume is to look at the amount of caffeine, which is limited to 180 mg in Canada.
Products that are not included in the latest recall will also have the required warnings on their labels for vulnerable populations, including children, and will have English and French labels.
Recalled products should be thrown out and, if possible, returned to the location they were purchased.
The affected products can also be reported to the CFIA.
